I'am using XY so long now, that I forget how crappy WE really is (this maybe is a feature but the focus-loss is really unintuitive when switching througth the items with Tab/Shift+Tab.) The inline-rename closes and next Tab-press just pushes the focus out of the list. when reaching a folder that cannot be renamed (e.g. (Even in 2011 WE doesn't support this feature) when switching the App the inline-rename just closes. I tried this in Windows Explorer, and the Tab / Shift+Tab basically works but: Looks like the Tab-key from the Alt-Tab-Command is not only catched by windows but also by XY.ĭescribing this bug, I figured out that you can move the focus to another item using Tab / Shift+Tab. Now the next entry in the list is marked for editing. Experimenting, it looks like the timespan needs to be smaller than half a second, maybe even 300ms)ĥ. I press the keys with two fingers almost instantly after each other. Switch to another App using Alt+Tab (you need to press it FAST, when you spend to much time between KeyDown of Alt- and Tab-Key, XY will drop the rename. Rename but do not apply (because you realized you need to copy the filename from some other app)ģ.
